PAIR OF IMPORT CIVIL WAR CAVALRY SABERS.

1) UNMARKED S&K TYPE 1 SABER. 36.25” Blade w/ faked “COLUMBIA, SC” stamped on ricasso & fake inspector initials on pommel. CONDITION: very fine overall, blade is lustrous retaining most original polish, grip retains 95% plus original other w/ complete type twisted wire. Import scabbard is gray w/ scattered staining & pitting. Hilt & pommel have light to medium mustard patina. (02-14673/JS). 2) “HORSTMANN / & SONS / PHILADELPHIA” stamped 36” blade. CONDITION: very good overall, blade retains most of its original polish & luster, minor staining & pinprick pitting. Grip retains complete leather grip & twisted wire wrap. Scabbard is sound, iron patina. Hilt & pommel have a medium mustard patina, appears re-peened. (02-14674/JS). $2,000-3,000.
