PAIR OF MEISSEN EMPIRE STYLE VASES

ovoid form, each with two handles formed from coiled snakes, with gadrooned rims with vitruvian scrolls, the body and neck of each featuring courting scenes in gilt cartouches, marked with factory in blue underglaze, each with numeral 29 in blue underglaze, model number E116 incised in paste; height: 39 cm (15 3/8 in.)

CONDITION
The pair appears in good condition. Each with scattered chips to the foot rim along with rubbing to the gilt. Rubbing to the gilt detailing of the handles, gadrooned rim and vitruvian scrolls. A very fine crack along one of the coiled snakes. Inspection under UV light shows no apparent sign of restoration.
