Two volumes, 8vo (9 3/4 x 7 in.; 248 x 178mm). Vol. I: 28 photographs on 14 plates, 5 hand-colored plates after old prints and a photograph, folding map tipped in on rear pastedown; plates and text leaves mounted on guards, map silked, some toning, a few stray spots and stains. Vol. II: hand-colored plate, hand-colored photograph, 6 black and white in-text illustrations after old prints; a few stray spots. Volumes uniformly bound in full dark blue grained leatherette, upper covers gilt lettered; Vol. I rebacked preserving original spine, minor rubbing to extremities.

First edition, number 16 of 30 copies. A very rare sporting narrative with remarkable provenance, this volume once belonged to Ivers S. Adams, one of the founding members of the Moise Salmon Club. The present copy of Moisie River remained in the camp until the until the mid-1990s, and was used when the second edition was prepared and privately printed in 1995.
