26" Late 19th c. Unmarked poured wax shoulder head doll with stationary blue eyes, open closed mouth. Soft brown mohair curls frame face only. Short needle inserted hair otherwise, just covers head. Cloth body with poured wax lower arms and legs. Dressed in antique cotton clothing. Head covering - ruffled lace cap UNDER a padded silk bonnet. Ivory period dress with sleeve caps over a petticoat dress liner, pantaloons. Socks with fancy crocheted top. Early black leather tie on slippers. Condition: age discoloration on wax but no cracks observed. Minor "pocking" on face around each eye. This lot is being sold AS IS.
