Paritosh Sen (Indian 1918-2008) - Oil on canvas painting He was one of the most well known modern masters of India . He was born in Dhaka Bangladesh. He ran away from home to Madras tostudy Art . He was the founder member of Calcutta Art Group an art movement started in 1942 . In 1969 he was the recipient of the French fellowship for Designing and type face and in 1970 he was awarded a Rockefeller Fellowship. He exhibitedwidely both in India and abroad.
