CONDITION REPORT:
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The case has light scratches throughout. The case appears to have been polished. The hallmark to the top of the bow is visible. The hallmark to the back of the stem is slightly rubbed. There is an engraving to the case back with a design and the words "In Hoc Signo Spesmea." This watch features a hidden hinge. The inside of the case back has a small amount of patina. There is also a small amount to the back of the case below the stem. The cuvet cover is engraved "Randal Dunne Taaffe." The inside of the cuvet has watchmaker's marks and appears to have been polished. The movement is clean. The dial and hands are in good condition and appear to be original. The hand in the top sub-register just below 12 o'clock is pictured without its hand, but it has since been replaced. The enamel dial has no visible cracks. There is a small chip to the edge of the dial at 7 o'clock. The dial has developed a patina. The hands have developed a light patina. The crystal has a small crack near 11 o'clock. The movement is not working at the time of cataloguing. A service is required.
