Date: c. 1680

Description: Portrait of the Flemish painter Christoffel Jacobsz van der Laemen in three-quarter profile to the left with buttoned coat and light collar in front of a draped curtain. Van der Laemen was particularly specialised in cheerful genre scenes, such as card and backgammon players, guest exchange and brothel scenes, scenes with music and dance.
