Transition, Basel ca. 1775. The dial signed Krampe à Basle. Johann Georg Krampe, maître from 1764 onwards.
Curved Parisian case with later black lacquer. Applied with chiseled gilt bronze in the form of acanthus leaves, scrolls, laurel garlands, and blossoms. White enamel "en cuvette" dial. Finely pierced and chiseled hands. Converted to movement with Graham escapement, striking the 1/4-hour on 2 bells. Repetition removed. Dial chipped.
