PENNSYLVANIA MERCHANT'S STENCILED STONEWARE JUG, salt-glazed, "2" gallon capacity, ovoid form with plain mouth and strap handle. Stenciled cobalt "T.D. CASEY & CO. / WHOLESALE / LIQUOR / DEALERS. / NO. 971 LIBERTY ST. / PITTSBURGH, PA." with additional stenciled ornaments and cobalt decoration at handle terminal. Fourth quarter 19th century.

Condition: Professional restoration to handle and mouth, otherwise undamaged.
