A prince of Persia, he served as a diplomat attache of the Persian Embassy in London, later he was sent to The Hague as his country's representative as the many pre WWI conferences held in the Dutch Capital. After WWI he was sent to the US as Consul General of New York City to study the possibilities of establishing a Consulate. During that time he became a well-known an much sought after figure in New York social life.
