PERSIAN / QAJAR EARTHENWARE POTTERY CAT FIGURES, LOT OF TWO, lead-glazed, each molded left-facing forms seated on bases, the surfaces and facial features each detailed and outlined in black/dark purple manganese brushstrokes and decorated/highlighted with cobalt spotting, one example with closed base and other open-bottomed. Late 19th century. 7 1/4" HOA.
Condition Report: Good condition overall, each with moderate or heavy crazing to surfaces and with firing shrinkages/separations/drying in some areas, where the glaze separates or flakes away from the body; some related chipping to each including face of larger cat and smaller cat along the back and one ear.
