PETERSBURG, VIRGINIA ATTRIBUTED DECORATED STONEWARE PITCHER, salt-glazed, approximately half-gallon capacity, truncated ovoid form with beaded rim, double incised neck rings, and double-groove strap handle. Bold brushed cobalt tulip decoration with ten blossoms on front and two additional tulips on neck. Attributed to Thomas and John Ducey's Petersburg Stone Ware Manufactory, Petersburg, VA. 1855-1872. 8 5/8" H, 4 3/4" D rim.
Undamaged. Manufacturing imperfections include three stacking scars to top of rim and kiln kiss, as made.
