Great set of ten photograph portfolios for the 1893 World's Fair held in Chicago, unpaginated, though each approx. 16pp. 13.5 x 11 in., published by The Werner Company. Each ‘Art Series' were published weekly, the first Dec. 11, 1893, and the tenth Feb. 12, 1894. Images include: grandiose buildings, waterways, statues, the Ferris wheel, reproductions of the ships in the fleet of Christopher Columbus, gondolas, artistic renderings of attendees, reproductions of German villages, state buildings, a Bedouin encampment, 'exotic' women, reproductions of Russian architecture, foreign men posing in their native attire, and much more. Accompanied by duplicates of series one, two, three, eight, nine and ten. Conditions vary with some of the covers completely detached. Overall, very good.
