The document being a letter of recommendation, Piaf states in full `I undersigned, Madame Edith Piaf, resident at the 67th Bd Lannes, having employed Miss Lessard Francine, from 12th April 1953 to 12th February 1954 as maid. During this period, at home, I was fully satisfied with her services. Edith Piaf´. With a monogramme ink stamp to the upper part of the document.
