TWO BOTANICAL STUDIES FROM LES LILIACÉES:
A) MASSONIA PUSTULEUSE (MASSONIA PUSTULATA)
B) PARISETTE À QUATRE FEUILLES (PARIS QUADRIFOLIA)

Both watercolor and bodycolor, with touches of gum arabic, over black chalk, on vellum;
both signed in brown ink, lower left: P.J. Redouté
A) 483 by 341 mm; 19 by 13½in
B) 472 by 342 mm; 18½ by 13½ in

Condition Report:
Both works are hinge mounted to modern cream mounts.
A) With the exception of some very minor buckling to the vellum this work is in absolutely pristine condition, with the combination of media fresh and vibrant throughout
B) There is some very minor foxing to areas of the sheet, which is only noticeable upon close firsthand inspection. Otherwise in good condition with the media fresh and vibrant throughout.
Both works are sold unframed.
