POLISH Biographical Dictionary. Vol. XIX/3
POLISHBiographical Dictionary. Wrocław. Ossolineum, Institute of History, Polish Academy of Sciences. Paperback.
Vol. 19/3 (Issue 82): Malicki, Bartłomiej; Mann, Aleksander. 1974. pp. 321–480.
Dusty cover, good condition. Uncut piece. The third issue of one of the rarest volumes of this monumental work, published from 1935 to the present with two interruptions—during World War II and the Stalinist era. To date, it has published nearly 30,000 biographical entries on individuals distinguished for their service to Poland (including the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth) from the Piast era to the present. Currently, each volume consists of 4 issues. According to the project’s official website, the main series of the PSB is projected to conclude with 62 volumes around the year 2030. The once-planned publication of a publicly accessible online version of the PSB seems a long way off due to strict copyright requirements.
