POWDER FLASK
Swiss, ca. 1700, probably Zurich.
Gilt brass, composed of two bowl-shaped, cast halves, both with a finely chiseled, recessed center. Cast spout, pivotable closure arm with lid and spring, four carrying rings, original carrying cord with two tassels.
D 10 cm.
A type of powder flask attributable mainly to Zurich; large-size version for hunting, in very good condition and in a rare state of completeness. Cf.
