Attributed to Georges Jacobs (French 1749-1814), 18th/19th c. pair of exquisitely carved giltwood fauteuils or armchairs in the Louis XVI taste, with modern blue and cream upholstery and accent pillows, having no apparent marks. Approximate dimensions: h. 43. 5", w. 29. 5", d. 23"; seat h. 22".
Condition Report: Regilded, some chips to finish, small area of loss to the back of one chair at joint, stable joint separations, no apparent stains or tears to upholstery, frames are structurally sound.
