The exterior decorated with hand-painting in cobalt blue underglaze, depicted of various flowers blooms interspersed foliage, enclosed with ruyi shaped large pendants filled by scrolling clouds, interspersed by scrolling floral and bordered with dense of floral diaper surrounding Bajixiang symbols inside ruyi shaped cartouches. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze grayish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black.
