PRE-BAN HK94A3 LOW SERIAL 005 9MM CARBINE

SERIAL NUMBER: 005. BARREL: 16". CALIBER: 9X19. MANUFACTURED: 1983. The HK94 is a civilian, semi-automatic rifle version of the legendary MP5 submachine gun, imported to the United States by Heckler & Koch from 1983 until it was banned from import in 1989. At its core, the rifle utilizes Heckler & Koch's signature roller-delayed blowback system and is chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum. Unlike its military counterpart, it operates strictly in semi-automatic mode and fires from a closed bolt position. This "ID" date coded HK94A3 also features collapsible A3 metal stock, hooded front sight, diopter drum rear sight, polymer pistol grip and (1) 30 round magazine. Today, original pre-ban models hold premium collector status due to their scarcity following the 1989 import restrictions. Gun enthusiasts frequently purchase them as base firearms for legal short-barreled rifle conversions to replicate the authentic MP5 aesthetic. The rifle also holds a unique place in Hollywood history, as modified HK94s were widely used in 1980s action movies like "Die Hard" to fill in for full-automatic MP5s, which were difficult for prop houses to source at the time. CONDITION: EXCELLENT. The rifle appears to have been fired little, if at all, post factory. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Operates normally. MODERN
