Taino Anthropomorphic pendant. Appears to depict a shaman/priest in a trance like state after consuming cohoba. This position is often seen in Taino art. Well defined eye and mouth surrounds. Feet appear to be resting on a support of some kind. Comes with a metal museum mount. Made of a rhyolite like stone. Former collection of Salvador Estrella Sadhala, construction engineer Dominican Republic 1960s. Private Florida collection. About 4 5/8 X 1 1/2 inches. This lot has a reserve.
