PRE WAR COLT OFFICERS MODEL HEAVY BARREL TARGET

SERIAL 327238. BARREL 6". CALIBER .38 SPECIAL. MADE IN LATE 1930'S. This is an interesting gun. For all intents and purpose, this is a mid to late 1930's standard heavy barrel target revolver but Colt applied a serial number, either erroneously or as a replacement, on this gun that dates to 1911. This is the first time we have seen a 1930's Colt with factory stamped number pre-dating gun by 20 years. Standard features include flat top, target sights, 1930's factory blue original finish, silver medallion checkered walnut grips, six shot, double action. Aside from a couple of minor handling marks and light cylinder line, gun retains at least 98% original blue finish. Gun indexes and locks up like new with a bright bore. Grips show some minor wear.
