PREVOST MARIE: (1896-1937)

PREVOST MARIE: (1896-1937) Canadian actress who was discovered by Mack Sennett and contracted as one of his ´Bathing Beauties´. A good, scarce vintage signed and inscribed sepia 8 x 10 photograph of the actress standing on a mooring post in a full-length pose and wearing a one-piece bathing suit, matching head wrap, bathing stockings and laced bathing shoes. Photograph by Evans of Los Angeles for Mack Sennett Comedies. Signed by Prevost in fountain pen ink to the base of the image, ´With season´s greetings to Grace Kingsley, Marie Prevost´. The signature is a little light in places, although perfectly legible. Some light age wear and minor staining, otherwise about VG
