PROCESSION CROSS
Gothic, probably Burgundy, 1st half of the 15th century.
Wooden core, applied with chased silver plates, and decorated with pine cones and rosettes. Traces of a former gilding On the front: enameled God the Father in a Gothic niche with a canopy, on the back: an empty rectangular chamber, originally for holding a relic (door missing). Mounted on a later conical shaft with a flat nodus in gilt copper. Punch mark "PVE" below a crown, and date or place stamp B.
22 × 2 × 44 cm.
Dents and losses. Door and insert of the reliquary container, missing or incomplete. Associated.
