They have been the international standard bearer for generations for high end French 950 sterling silver flatware and tableware products as detailed in "Collective, The Great Silversmiths from Louis XIII to Charles X, 1965, p. 44." This piece is a stunning example of the quality and craftsmanship inherent in their product offerings and with no monograms - another rarity.This magnificent serving platter measures approximately 45.50 cm. in length, 30.00 cm. wide at its widest point and weights roughly 1,375 grams. It is Stamped on the Underside with the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 Hallmark certifying a minimum of 950 sterling silver (although prior to the 1930s Puiforcat used 958 silver) in addition to the Puiforcat Sterling Silver Hallmark. It is in near new condition and comes with its own anti-tarnish storage wrap for easy storage.
