PABLO MAÑE GARZON (Montevideo, 1921 - Barcelona, 2004) Joven recogiendo la uva, oil on canvas. Signed on the lower right corner. Dimensions: 65 x 80 cm; 83 x 99 cm (frame) . The painter Pablo Mañé Garzón was born in Montevideo but lived in Spain from 1969 until his death in Barcelona in 2004. A doctor in Law and Social Sciences, he was a music critic and collaborator of the weekly Marcha and the newspaper El País del Uruguay for thirteen years. He translated the complete poetic work of Shakespeare (sonnets) , Whitman, Blake and Mallarmé, into bilingual texts, preceded by studies on these authors and their poems. His work is integrated into various museums, foundations and collections in Europe, USA. USA, South America and Japan.
