Pablo Picasso (1881-1973). Madoura Studio ceramic earthenware pitcher. Titled, "Femme" ("Woman") Ramie 297, produced circa 1955, during Picasso's lifetime, in a special limited edition of 100. Art pottery modeled as the abstracted figure of a semi nude woman, possibly inspired by the artist's second wife, Jacqueline Roque. Embellished with thick brush strokes, in a palette evoking the Mediterranean and the Cote D'Azur, and highlighting the piece's curving figure. Painted inscription EDITION PICASSO, with the d'Apres Picasso and Madoura impressed backstamps. Guaranteed Authentic.
