Wood-owl, 1968, edition of 500 (Ramié, 543). Inscribed "EDITION PICASSO 221/500 MADOURA" on the underside, applied clay stamps "EDITION PICASSO" and "MADOURA" on underside. Turned white earthenware clay vase decorated with engobes and knife engraving in black, red, green, and white, height 11 1/2 in. (29.4 cm).
Condition: Minor soiling.

There is minor soiling and dust, more visible to the mat glazes. The rim of the foot has normal fine abrasions consistent with wear from standing on a variety of surfaces over the years. There is a tiny loss (diameter under 2 mm) near the base of the tail.
