DESCRIPTION: Pair of antique Louis XVI style carved giltwood armchairs, each featuring floral, foliage and shell motifs and upholstery decorated with embroidered floral and foliage motifs against a red ground.

DIMENSIONS: (Approximately) H: 43.25" W: 31" Depth: 30"
CONDITION: Repair to one back foot; moderate repair at back of one arm of the same chair; moderate chip at back of the same arm of the same chair; the same arm is somewhat loose. The other three arms are also somewhat loose, but to a lesser degree. Minor to moderate staining, scuffing, and discoloration to upholstery, consistent with age and use. Minor chips to both chairs, consistent with age and use. Seats are stable, but do not perfectly fit the chairs.
