Pair Cast Iron Horse & Buggy Bells

Vertical mounting bracket height: 14 inches Horizontal arm length: 9 inches. This lot comprises a matching pair of decorative wall-mounted bells constructed from cast iron with a black finish. Each unit features a horizontal arm supporting a flat-cast silhouette of a single horse pulling a two-wheeled buggy. Within the buggy is a seated driver figure wearing a top hat. The horizontal arm is joined to a vertical mounting bracket by a curved, openwork gusset. The vertical bracket is designed with two pre-drilled holes for wall attachment. Suspended from each horizontal arm is a flared bell, secured by a silver-tone nut and bolt assembly. Each bell contains a cast iron clapper with a rounded striking end and a small eyelet at the bottom for an attachment cord. A circular red adhesive label is present on the exterior of each bell, one of which clearly reads MB101 in yellow characters. The reverse of the cast pieces shows a flat, untextured surface with the visible bolt and nut hardware.
