Pair Of 18th Century Cambodian Carved Wood Ramayana Friezes

DESCRIPTION: Two antique carved wood friezes, each depicting a scene from the Ramayana in high relief: one a procession of foot soldiers and warriors mounted on horses and elephants, one Vishnu's avatar Rama with his companions in exile in a forest. Each piece is coated in red and is finished with gilt accents.
