Pair Pirkenhammer porcelain Aesthetic gold encrusted double handled footed vase, circa 1880. The central image of the urns depict gold encrusted birds perched on tree branches with more tree branches to the verso. Gold encrusted floral designs throughout with gilt figural dragons to the double handles. Pirkenhammer mark to the underside and impressed "FM" mark for Fischer & Mieg, the founders of Pirkenhammer.An equally impressive pair of vases by Pirkenhammer with a similar motif previously sold at Christie's for over $18,000!
