Royals) depot impressed naming; Turkish Crimea 1855, Sardinian issue, unnamed as issued, pierced as issued with small ring suspension, the first with edge bruising and contact marks, the second polished, otherwise nearly very fine (2) £300-£400

Thomas Doyle, a labourer from Rathangan, Co. Kildare, attested into the Royal Scots on 17 November 1846. He served in the Crimea and is later noted as having deserted.
