Pair Yellowware Octagonal Molds

This lot features two yellowware earthenware food molds, likely used for puddings or jellies. Both items are constructed from buff-colored clay with a clear yellow-tinted glaze, typical of utilitarian yellowware produced in the 19th century. The larger mold is octagonal in form with a flared rim and a raised pedestal foot. The interior walls are decorated with molded vertical flutes ending in pointed arches. The central base features a high-relief molded design of a cluster of grapes accompanied by a leaf and a scrolling vine. The exterior base has a circular foot rim with no visible maker's marks or stamps. The smaller mold is also octagonal with wide, rounded vertical fluting on the interior walls. The central base features a high-relief molded ear of corn. The underside is recessed and flat, without any visible manufacturer's marks or inscriptions.
