Pair Zhou Dynasty Style Bronze Fanghu
Wonderfully cast and patinated lidded pair of bronge ornate Fanghu in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty (770 – 221 B.C.) style. Each with handles and supports in the shape of mythical beasts. The loe bellied bodies have low-relief dragon forms in the style of the period. The lids have four small animal mask and a more rudimentary surface design, perhaps a later addition.NOTE: This lot is being reoffered due to nonpaying bidder Brian McClain (Gudong Dongxi) of Rago Park, New York.
