About the Item
Pair of late 18th or early 19th century Georgian compatible card / game or flip top tables. One with a single drawer and tapestry or Needlepoint table top showing a card game flanked by a bouquet of flowers, the other with a green felt tabletop. The pair having fine Georgian carvings with lion pad feet and cabriole rose carved legs leading to rounded corners. This exquisite pair of compatible tables are seldom found and certainly an exploratory example of workmanship at its finest. A true investment grade work of art. Both appear to be in very nice original condition. Directly from a Manhattan brownstone of a gentleman. Fair to good condition considering the needlepoint where the tops connect is slightly frayed.
