Pair of 19th C. Indonesian Wooden Biscuit Molds - Bird

**First Time At Auction**

Southeast Asia, Indonesia, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. Two wood biscuit molds, each matching, with a fish and two seashell-shaped forms. At the top of each mold is a carved animal, one a white bird with blue wings, the other a red lizard with blue polka dots. Size of one (they are very close in size): 2.3" W x 16" H (5.8 cm x 40.6 cm)

Provenance: ex-private Tucson, Arizona, USA collection; ex-Ron Perry collection; Ron Perry collected art and artifacts for more than 40 years in New Guinea and the South Pacific. He collaborated with Carolyn Leigh to write a book entitled, "Art Dealer in the Last Unknown: Ron Perry & New Guinea Art: the early years 1964-1972" (2011)
