Pair of 19th Century Swords
Pair of 19th century swords including: 1.) European rapier type sword measuring 36" (blade 30.5"). Sword presents horn grip with triangular blade that exhibits some engraving. Sword exhibits darkening to blade, loss to guard and lacks scabbard. 2.) United States militia style pre-Civil War sword measuring 36" (blade 30"). Sword exhibits dark blade, and guard featuring Columbia, shield and eagle. Grip is fragmentary and is off of sword as is eagle pommel. Sword lacks scabbard. Provenance: Eugene T.
