third quarter 19th century, attributed to John Henry Belter, in the pattern commonly referred to as "Rosalie with Grapes", each with a deeply carved fruit-and-floral crest, round seat, and rose-carved front apron and legs.

Dimensions: 22 x 38 x 25 in
Condition Report: All legs and backs are tight and free of movement. The carvings exhibit some normal chips and flakes to their edges. The verso back of one chair has been sanded and refinished. The rear of the other chair back retains its old surface with some wear and losses and an area of filled upholstery tack holes. Upholstery is firm with some minor wear.
