Pair of Antique Continental Old Paris Porcelain Figural Scenic Vases with Cherubs and Gilt Ivy

Magnificent pair of antique Continental porcelain figural vases, lavishly decorated in Rococo Revival taste with exceptional hand painted details and elaborate applied ornamentation
Each vase features a baluster form body with a flared turquoise-blue neck richly accented with raised gilt decoration. The front is beautifully hand painted with finely executed romantic pastoral scenes depicting elegantly dressed 18th century figures in idyllic landscapes, while the reverse displays large botanical sprays of blooming pink roses.
The bodies are adorned with dramatic three-dimensional gilt ivy vines that wrap around the vessels, accompanied by sculptural scroll handles supporting seated bisque cherubs. The combination of matte bisque figures, vibrant enamel decoration, extensive gilding, and finely painted scenic reserves creates an impressive decorative presentation
Measure 23"in H x 12"in W

Condition: Overall good antique condition with age related wear. Both vases retain their original hand painted decoration and applied gilt ornament. There is expected wear and rubbing to the gilding, particularly on the raised ivy leaves and decorative scrollwork. One vase shows a small area of enamel loss adjacent to one of the applied ivy leaves, as illustrated in the photographs. Additional minor wear and losses to the gilt decoration are present on some of the applied ornaments. No obvious major cracks or significant restorations were observed in the provided photographs. Please review all images carefully, as they form an integral part of the condition report.
