Condition Report:
Overall in very good condition. The bronze figures present with surface irregularities inherent to production, as well as occasional areas of discoloration, rubbing to the silvering and traces of oxidation consistent with age and gentle handling. The marble bases are in well-preserved condition with scattered surface scratches, minor wear and small chips concentrated to the edges and corners, not visually distracting. The side of one bookend with a small loss to the marble measuring approximately ¼ in. wide, not visually distracting. The vertical marble blocks display slight movement but are stable in place. The undersides of each base applied with six protective felt pads.
