third quarter 20th century, Milan, in the rococo taste, each with a figural putto standard holding aloft an acanthus frond with one central and six scrolling arms, each ending in an acanthus-form drip-pan and socket, the whole above a waisted spiral-fluted plinth and oval base with scrolling rim.

Condition Report: Most of the branches are dented inward out of vertical (visible in photograph). However, the arms are the arms are solid, not filled or hollow, and this is probably easily repaired. Otherwise, both pieces are in good condition, with no breaks or repairs noted. Heavy applied oxidation. Each piece stamped (on the underside) "Buccellati / Italy Sterling".
