Pair of Chinese Export 'Famille Rose' Pronk Style 'Parrots-on-a-Swing' Bottle Vases
Qianlong Period, Circa 1740
Each enamel and gilt painted on opposing sides after a design by Cornelis Pronk, with a parrot beside a food bowl perched on a swing, his chain attached to the bar, one claw clasping a branch with a pair of cherries, suspended from an elaborate gilt hanging suspension attached to a green and gilt crest, the top of the necks foot painted with iron-red and blue banding. Unmarked.
