Pair of Chinese Famille Rose Jardinieres, Late 19th

A pair of Chinese famille rose jardinieres dating from the late 19th century. Each side of these hexagonal jardinieres are decorated with scenes of flowers and birds on a celadon ground. The mouths of the jardinieres have green and black ruyi bands, and the lower bodies have green and black lotus tracery bands.

Dimensions are: 6 inches tall X 9 7/8 inches wide, 15.2 cm X 25.1 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: One jardiniere has significant, severe areas of breakage, repair, and overpainting to the rim and corners. It also has chipping to the rim and significant abrasions. The other jardiniere has significant abrasions. A reminder that all lots are sold as-is.
