Pair of Chinese Jade Cups, Ming
A pair of small Chinese jade cups dating from the Ming dynasty. The rim of the cups have a Greek key border; they come with wooden stands.
Dimensions: 1 1/4 inches tall X 3 inches wide; 3.2 cm tall X 7.6 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The cups are in good condition with natural seams and inclusions. The stands are missing the legs.
Provenance: From Mr. Zaun’s collection in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Zaun lived in Taiwan with his wife in 1967-68 and began his interest in Chinese history and artifacts there. This item was purchased from the Golden Dragon Oriental Shop in Glenview, Illinois.
