Pair of Chinese Pink Cloisonne Vases, 19th Century
A pair of Chinese pink-ground cloisonne vases dating from the 19th century. On either side of the body, neck, and foot of each vase are a pair of phoenixes among blue lotus and vine tracery. The neck and foot are distinguished from the body of the vessel by green bands of ruyi and peacocks, respectively. Each vase has a pair of beast head handles holding engaged rings.
Dimensions are: 15 1/4 inches tall X 8 inches wide, 38.7 cm X 20.3 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: All handles are loose, but the vases are in overall good condition.
Provenance: From a private Beverly, Massachusetts collection.
