early 20th century, the padded, rectangular back surmounted by a shell and foliate crest, joined by downswept arms to lion-masque hand rests, the padded seat raised on turned and block legs joined by a lion-masque stretcher and ending in paw feet.

Condition Report: In overall very good condition. The arms and backs are tight. The chairs are solid and serviceable.
There is a very small amount of movement at the joint where the stiles meet side seat rails on one chair.
The upholstery is in very good condition.
