[ translate ]

**First Time At Auction**

Ancient Southeast Asia, Vietnam, Dong Son culture, ca. 200 BCE to 200 CE. An exquisite pair of ornately decorated bronze child's bracelets likely used in ceremonial dance rituals as they also acted as bells. Each bracelet has a lateral opening and is hollow-molded to accept miniature rattle balls which create a bright sound when jostled. The miniature balls and openings are still intact with each bracelet, which is rare to find with artifacts of this age. Each bracelet has a deep green patina decorated with minimal, linear patterns. Size of each: 3.5" Diameter (8.9 cm)

Provenance: ex-Davis collection, Houston, Texas, acquired before 2013 from various auction houses in London and New York

All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.

A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany all winning bids.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to recent increases of shipments being seized by Australian & German customs (even for items with pre-UNESCO provenance), we will no longer ship most antiquities and ancient Chinese art to Australia & Germany. For categories of items that are acceptable to ship to Australia or Germany, please contact us directly or work with your local customs brokerage firm.
