Pair of Double-Armed Infantrymen
Quarter plate tintype of two unidentified Federal infantrymen with their accouterments and weapons. Both are double-armed with what appear to be import “India Pattern” British muskets typically issued to early midwestern regiments. The man at right wears a civilian style of soft cap, however both are in regulation dress uniform. Interesting content, clear, and housed in an attractive maroon and gold full leatherette case.
[Civil War, Union, Confederate, Antique Photography, Daguerreotype, Ambrotype, Tintype, CDV]
