Pair of French-Style Pommel Holsters Attributed to John Coffee Hays

Red-dyed leather construction with gilt brass-capped 13.75" x 4.75" holsters, covered with flaps of silver lace and leopard skin. Brass caps engraved with attractive floral and geometric motifs, sporting detailed floral finials. **Very good condition overall. Some scattered finish wear on edges and exposed areas. Nearly all of the gilt finish remains. with some scattered moderate loss of finish on silver lace.
